DNS Tools: How to change the A-record of a domain
Step 1:
The domain for which you want to change the A-record must be set up on the destination server. If not, you will get an error message when you call up the domain. After the change it could take up to 3 or 4 hours until the new settings are active.Please log in to your KAS (Technical Administration) panel and click on Tools -> DNS Settings.
Click the Edit icon right next to the domain and then again the Edit icon right next to the default A-record in line 1.
Step 2:
Please simply replace the current IP address with the new one.If you also want to change the IP address of the wildcard A-record (that includes www for instance), leave the respective option The wildcard A record should also point to this IP address checked.
click on Save.
Step 3:
In case you have determined "mail.your-domain.com" as MX-record, please change the MX-record into <your-login>.kasserver.com.Replace <your-login> with the username of your KAS (Technical Administration) panel.
