KAS Password: Password Manager

Step 1:

No passwords are displayed in the KAS (Technical Administration) panel by default.

Using the password manager you can store passwords for subaccounts, email accounts (unless it is configured otherwise in the email account's settings), FTP, databases, network drives, website builders and DDNS so that the passwords can be displayed later. Except the passwords of directory protections for which it is not possible.

You can add passwords to the password manager by determining new passwords after the password manager has been activated.

The passwords stored in the password manager can only be displayed if you have manually logged in to your KAS (Technical Administration) panel using the KAS login credentials.

Step 2:

In order to activate the password manager, log in to your KAS (Technical Administration) panel and click the menu item Settings on the left side and then the subitem KAS Password. Switch the option Password manager active to yes and enter the current KAS password for verification purposes.

Read the note carefully and check the option I have read and understood the warning notice.

Click on Save settings afterwards.

Step 3:

Please note: If you deactivate the password manager, all stored passwords will be removed from the password manager and cannot be displayed anymore in the KAS panel. This is also the case if you change the KAS password and haven't manually logged in to the KAS panel using the KAS credentials beforehand.
