How to register a domain: How to set up a domain inside the KAS panel

Step 1:

The registration process basically consists of 2 steps:

1.) Setting up the domain in your KAS (Technical Administration) panel
2.) Registering the domain afterwards inside your Members Area

Step 2:

The registration process basically consists of 2 steps:

1.) Setting up the domain in your KAS (Technical Administration) panel
2.) Registering the domain afterwards inside your Members Area

Step 3:

Log in to your KAS (Technical Administration) panel.

Step 4:

After logging in, you can now technically set up the domain. You can either add the domain under the menu item Domain or set up a new account for the domain under the menu item Accounts. The difference is simple:

A) An account is a separated webspace within your contract and also has separate KAS and FTP logins. This is the proper choice for new web projects that are independent from the existing ones.

B) Under the menu item Domain you can point the domains to a certain folder within the account. In that case you can maintain multiple domains in one account and with the same KAS and FTP login credentials.

This example shows how to add the new domain under the menu item Domain.

Step 5:

Click on Create new domain in the upper right section of the screen.

Step 6:

Now please assign a domain name. Please note that you need to enter it without "www" and select the domain ending from the drop-down field.

Among other things, you can determine to which folder the new domain should point.
You can also choose the PHP version that the domain should use.

Now click the Save button.

Step 7:

After that it could take a moment until the domain has been technically set up.

The domain can be registered inside the Members Area afterwards.
