DNS Tools: How to change the nameservers
Step 1:
Due to systemic reasons it is not possible to change the NS records of the entire domain directly inside the KAS (Technical Administration) panel. The NS records can only be changed for subdomains. If you want to change the NS records for the entire domain, you need to contact our support. Please directly send us your request using the support form inside the Members Area.
The subdomain for which you want to change the NS records must be set up on the destination server. If not, you will get an error message when you call up the subdomain. After the change it could take up to 3 or 4 hours until the new settings are active.
Log in to your KAS (Technical Administration) panel and click on Tools -> DNS Settings.
Click the Edit icon right next to the domain and then click on Add a new DNS record.
Step 2:
In the name field, please enter the name of the subdomain you want to point to another nameserver (in the example image it's "sub"). The Type is NS and the Priority remains 0. Then enter the target nameserver in the Data field and hit Save.Step 3:
The new entry will now show up in the table. In most cases you need to enter at least two NS records. You can now enter the second NS record the same way like you have entered the first one.
