Prohibited uses

The customer is solely responsible for all content stored on their contracted account. If Neue Medien Münnich identifies any content that violates legal requirements, we reserve the right to immediately lock the account and notify the customer accordingly.

The following content and activities are prohibited on shared servers:

• Mass mailing*
• Operating an email or newsletter service*
• Operating a file hosting service*
• Software and scripts that are significantly stressing the server (e.g. chats, page ranking services, banner exchange programs)*
• Database overstressing due to too many queries or an excessively high amount of data
• An excessive amount of files (regarding file size and/or number)
• All kinds of free services such as counter, free mail and URL shortening services, etc.*
• Subleasing your web space (except reseller accounts)
• Contents that offend the honour of third parties, insult or disparage other persons or groups of persons
• Pornographic content of all kinds (hardcore porn)

* Note: The prohibitions primarily target the operation of these services for third parties. However, customers are permitted to use guestbooks, forums, counters, send newsletters, and provide files for download within the scope of communication on their website or domain. Regarding chats, customers are only allowed to integrate external chat services (e.g., IRC) on their websites but may not host or operate chatrooms directly on our servers.
